As many of our followers know, Casa Roja is a remote, exclusive eco-lodge, and due to the challenges of getting guests and supplies to and from the lodge, we typically cater to families and groups booking all-inclusive stays of five nights or more. Most of our guests fill their days with private tours—visiting Corcovado National Park, snorkeling or diving at Caño Island, offshore fishing, river and mangrove excursions, jungle hikes, and wildlife tours. But for the first time ever, we’re offering a new kind of experience for adventure travelers! From May through October 2025, we’re launching our Low Season À La Carte Special—designed for budget-conscious explorers, backpackers, and European travelers who typically visit the Osa Peninsula in the green season. This is your chance to stay at Casa Roja without the all-inclusive commitment, while still enjoying the breathtaking Boca del Río Sierpe.
The offer includes a three-night minimum stay for at least three guests, at just $100 per person per night. You’ll bring and prepare your own food, offering a significant cost saving. The local water taxi from Sierpe to Drake Bay can drop you off right at Casa Roja and pick you up at the end of your stay, making logistics easy. If you’d prefer meal service or private boat transfers, we can arrange those for an additional cost.
While most of our guests book private full-day tours, we can now arrange for you to join group tours to Corcovado and Caño Island, which are significantly more affordable. Or, if you’re simply looking for a tranquil escape, spend your days reading, lounging around the house, sunning yourself on the beach, hiking the property, or fishing and swimming right out front. We can also arrange additional excursions like sloth tours, crocodile safaris, and mangrove explorations.
